Notes about group News (2)

Our group finally decided our news after long discussion that we have many problems and difficulties during our discussion. Our New topic is  The conflict between Taiwan and PhilippinesWhy Taiwanese are so angry?
The news is growing more and more intense and attracts many people to comment on the web and also the concerning topics are broad. So we want to know what people are thinking about this issue?
The way how we conduct our plan is that we will choose a video—2 Minutes, One Fact—What Philippine Government did and Said to Taiwan—on YouTube that was uploaded on 5/16, 2013.And then we will analyze the comments under the video and post our comments to see if there are any responds.

In the previous class succession which is on June 5th, we draw a poster to write down our way and purpose about how to do our news. And then teacher played “merry-go-around” to let other groups’ members go to another groups and there is two original group members staying in their original group to explain to them what their news topics and the way how they do their news. After explanations, there are two to three minutes to listeners ask questions to whom explain their mews to them.

It’s quite interesting way that I have never seen before. This way is not only can practice our oral speaking, but also can train our abilities to respond and communicate others in short time by using English. It is quite useful but also easy way to let us learn more skills in oral speaking.

Note Of Group Project

The topic of our group project is that we want to analyze the comments which are about the recent event: The conflict of ship between Philippines and Taiwan.
The motivation that we want to do this topic it’s because we found there are so many different viewpoints about this issue on the e-paper. In addition, there are from a large number of different countries’ Internet users who expressed their opinions on the Internet. So, we want to analyze the comments what they left on the Internet.
The way how we do this project is that we will divide four different thoughts (according to the messages which are left in the e-papers) about the news. And then we will base on this messages to ask interviewees how their feelings and thoughts about each viewpoints. After interviewing, we will make the video to record the reactions of each interviewee and write down our reflections in our interviews.
As for the questions which we ask will select the messages on e-papers that I have mentioned in previous paragraphs, so that we will opt four different comments which are from different four countries’ Internet users who left the massages on the internet.

I think it will be an interesting topic that through the interviews, we can know how general people think about this event in different thoughts. But, there are some problems that we are worry about that it may have radical views which involve in racial or historical complex to Philippines or Taiwan.

The New Way Of Shopping: Online Shopping (2.4)

Online shopping is a new trend nowadays. We can buy  everything online: Clothes, purses, even some rare video games and so on. Bur does online shopping really satisfy customers' needs?
Thng-Ni Chen and Lulu Line, who are NCU's students, and Shih-Ting Chang, NTNU's student, all have experienced shopping online. The items that they buy online are clothes, bags and shoes.
" I shop online nearly once in a month, because online shopping is convenient." says Ms. Lin, a NCU's student, " NCU is so remote and I don't have a motorcycle to stroll around the streets and shopping."
Convenience is one of advantages for shopping on the internet. Online markets also offer extraordinary products.
" I have bought shoe-pads on the internet" says Ms. Chang, who is NTNU's student, "Shoe-pads are not easy to buy in a common shopping mall."
The other two male interviewees, Mr. Chen and Mr. Lyu, both of whom are NCU's students, says that they have bought a dumbell, a packor facial mask, ice packing and underpants on the internet but seldom buy them in physical shops.
"Because it's too shy for me to buy underpants in common stores," says Mr. Lyu, "And salso shopping online will be cheaper than buying in the physical stores."
The online market is not only creating the new direction but also contenting personal interests of shopping.
